The business was established by my grandfather, Frank Barlow, in 1948, in the village of Newthorpe in Nottinghamshire. Throughout more than sixty years and four generations, our business has succeeded through bringing high-quality meat and other produce to the people of Nottingham and its surrounding areas directly from quality, local suppliers.

Over the years, Barlow’s Butchers has gained a solid reputation for the quality of meats products and good customer service. It has become a byword for quality, not only in the village, but within a much wider area.

Over the years, with the decline of local industry, the closing of the village post office and two smaller stores, Barlow’s Butchers has managed to maintain a high profile in the local area and now is highly regarded by our customers.
